Warburtons is to establish a distribution facility at our 650 acre Eurocentral business park in Lanarkshire. The company has agreed a deal to take a purpose built distribution unit of 20,000 square feet at Brittain Way on a 20 year lease.
Founded in 1876, Warburtons is the UK's largest independent baking business with 13 bakeries and 11 depots in locations across the UK.
Steve Turner, Director of Muse Developments and the Eurocentral Partnership commented: “Eurocentral has experienced an extremely promising start to 2007. High profile names such as Amey and Warburtons locating to the park and selecting Eurocentral as not just a distribution but office location has, we feel, heightened levels of interest considerably.
"Eurocentral currently has 142 acres of industrial development land remaining, and presents great opportunities for any company wishing to relocate to this high profile location.’’
New occupiers taking space at Eurocentral this year include Au Naturale parent company, Ossian Retail Group; school wear designer, The Fielding Group; and one of the UK's leading support service organizations, Amey.
In total, employee numbers at Eurocentral are now in excess of 2,400
