GMPA HQ building now complete

The new 100,000 square foot headquarter building developed by Muse and Stayley Developments at Ashton Moss for the Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA) is now complete.

The building will house approximately 600 members of Crimes Operations Department staff, who have relocated from a number of other buildings throughout the area.

The GMPA picked the development in preference to several other high profile sites in the north west.  Key factors in the decision were its close proximity to the motorway network and Muse's proven track record in delivering facilities with the minimum of delay.  The range of amenities already available on site - such as the variety of retail, restaurant and leisure facilities as well as the new Village hotel - also impressed the Authority.

The new building has been operational since April 2009.
